Overview

Children’s cancer is curable if treated quickly with the right medical care and expertise but thousands of Tanzanian children are too late in receiving treatment as parents and caregivers are unaware of the signs and symptoms of the disease. The Tanzanian Muhimbili National Hospital wishes to reach and treat every child in Tanzania that has cancer so that they are able to continue living a healthy, prosperous life. In order to achieve this ambition, awareness at the community level is fundamental to ensure that parents have knowledge to act promptly and seek diagnosis.  AIO created awareness materials for The Tanzanian National Hospital and its partners to promote the signs and symptoms of cancer amongst children and supported the fundraising appeal ‘Movember’.
